Dangers of Skin Care Products
Let's put it this way, people apply as many as 200 chemicals a day to the skin-and it isn't by choice. Many skin care products contain cancer causing ingredients and other elements that can aggravate pre-existing skin conditions, like eczema and skin allergies. Sixty percent of those 200 chemicals enter the bloodstream.
The next time you're in the bathroom and looking for something to read-use your imagination-pick up the lotion bottle. You'll find that most contains lanolin. Lanolin derives from sheep's wool, and sheep's wool can be infested with pesticides - you do the math.
Then there are the fragrances and preservatives in skin care products, those can actually cause skin allergies. The problem with fragrances, preservatives and mainstream skin care is the fact that most are made by synthetic chemicals. If you aren't acquainted with the concept of synthetic, just think synthetic. Companies aren't required to list to the ingredients of fragrances.
