Fashion trends are often based on contrasts. Nowadays we see play of color tints contrasts, fabric textures, volumes, and styles. And these trends are also evident in such a delicate sphere as decoration usage - an important factor of a female image formation.
As we know, women have always loved shining bijouterie - whether to consider pieces of pearl shells beaded on a leather lace or pure diamonds in a platinum setting. Fortunately, a woman can be a Woman in all her beauty now. And probably namely at this point the main contrast of the present day fashion has been formed: together with very light fabrics of delicate tints and textures, open sexy cuts look rather rough, weighty and visible.
On the one hand it reminds bygone times when in Ancient Ellas or Rome the same heavy golden decorations were worn together with light tunics and chitons. They greatly matched tender and smooth skin of South women.
By the way, a lot of fashion designers have used these motives in their collections.
Beautiful, intricate jewelry pieces, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, made of golden interweaved details, are in fashion. For instance, such bracelets have to be worn above the elbow and underline sunburnt skin.
On the other hand, big heavy decorations accentuate female fragility that in its turn accentuates a romantic image of a woman. Romanticism and evident glamour of today's style don not admit brutality that leads to asexuality and unnecessary masculinity in one's image.
For instance, present day earrings are not big and heavy but refined and long. Even if they are decorated with lots of small multicolored stones, colored enamel and different chains of different sizes, they at the same time are able to swing because of the slightest summer wind puff.
Beads and necklaces consisting of the same chains or stones can be a great addition to such kind of earrings. They can be either very short or long.
As for the bracelets that look so natural on a naked arm in a sunny day, designers offer to stop wearing vulgar plastic. Of course plastic can be used but its combination becomes more refined.
Brooches are not so widely used as before. It's considered to be rather an exception. Designers propose small artificial flower bouquets, big stylized dragonflies or just metallic tokens with various inscriptions as brooches.
Of course we can't disregard such an important accessory as watches. A watch is not only a functional thing but it plays an important role for the whole image. A watch is considered to be a visiting card of a person.
Don't forget that a watch should match every other detail of your image. A bright and colorful watch will not only tell you the time but will raise your mood. Originality of watch design is very popular nowadays.
But following all fashion trends don not forget that a person's main decoration is his character, his open smile and his world outlook.
