One of the downsides to any chronic illness, especially Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or Fibromyalgia, is that you may likely suffer from a relapse after a symptom-free time. A relapse can rear its ugly head in many different forms and at different times. For instance, you might start feeling achy or lethargic after enjoying a symptom-free period. In addition, you might also develop migraine headaches, severe muscle pain or even vision or memory problems after you were relatively healthy.

Staying on top of these outbreaks is important to controlling them. By carefully monitoring your illness and keeping an eye out for "storm front" symptoms - those symptoms that indicate you are becoming run down and that a relapse might be on the way, you will be better able to handle the relapse. You must also be aware of the fact that Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Relapses tend to come in cycles that closely reflect cycles of your life.
