The sin: Believes a meal without mutton is incomplete
Why it's good: Mutton increases digestive heat, physical vigour and helps guard against stress-related disorders. It contains protein, iron, zinc and Vitamin B. The healthiest way to eat meat is to choose the leanest cuts and remove all visible fat. Grilling, baking, stir-frying is more acceptable. Roast meat, without added fat, on a rack so that the fat drips away.

The sin: Can have a kilo of kaju katli at one go
Why it's good: Cashew nuts contain protein and fibre. Rich in mono-unsaturated fat, they help protect the heart. Cashew nuts have a lower fat content in comparison to other tree nuts, and are also cholesterol-free. They contain phytochemicals with antioxidant properties, which protect the body against cancer and heart disease.

The sin: Is crazy about lassi
Why it's good: Lassi contains calcium, which is critical for bone growth, development and maintenance at every stage of life. It plays a significant role in the prevention of osteoporosis, which affects one out of two women and one out of eight men. It is a good source of protein, enhances digestion and is suitable for all three doshas in Ayurveda.
Drinking coffee could reduce the risk of developing a condition that effectively leaves people "blind", says an Italian study.
An involuntary eye spasm (known as Primary Late Onset Blepharospasm (PLB) makes people blink uncontrollably, affecting their ability to see.
In extreme cases, sufferers are left functionally blind despite normal vision as they are unable to prevent their eyes from clamping shut. Drinking one to two cups of coffee a day has a protective effect against PLB.
Moderation is the key
There's no such thing as good or bad food; there's only a bad diet, that lacks in variety and moderation. When cooked the right way, no food is taboo for the average healthy person
