Homeopath Robert Bannan, LCH, LCCH, recently joined Quakertown Integrative Healthcare Center and is accepting new clients. Bannan graduated from the College of Homeopathy in London in 1989, and he has been in private practice and teaching since that time.

Homeopathy is a method of provoking and focusing on the natural healing forces of the body. The main principle of homeopathy is let like be cured by like.

Since opening its doors two years ago, Quakertown Integrative Healthcare Center has grown steadily, offering comprehensive traditional and nontraditional services to the community. Services include medical and traditional acupuncture, massage therapy, craniosacral therapy, zero balancing, behavioral health services including addiction counseling and professional intervention support. and now homeopathy.

In the adjacent Wellness Studio, the center partners with Silver Lotus Yoga (silverlotusyoga.org) to offer classes in yoga, tai chi and qi gong. The Silver Lotus approach to yoga, tai chi and qi gong is individualized, depending on personal needs, and emphasizes prevention and healing. Silver Lotus classes are grounded in Svadhyaya yoga. This style embraces the therapeutic application of principles studied in classical yoga, tai chi and qi gong. Classes are small, and teaching is individualized allowing instructors to address conditions such as fibromyalgia, arthritis, osteopenia, osteoporosis, cancer, diabetes and chronic stress concerns.

Open house set for March 21

Quakertown Integrative Healthcare Center will hold an open house from noon to 4 p.m., Saturday March 21. Teachers and practitioners will be offering brief introductory sessions and will be available to answer questions and discuss Quakertown's individualized approach to healthcare.
