For the past decade, attorney Joe Mure has turned his stately home in Rockaway Park, Queens, into what is known locally as Little North Pole, with its 20-foot-tall toy soldiers flanking his front door, a busy Santa's workshop operating in two garages and lots of animated reindeer, angels, snow babies, color-changing trees and other blinking and eye-catching decorations in between.

And to think it all started because of a business trip to Florida in the winter of 1995.

"I was just starting to decorate with my daughter, Christina -- our first string of lights," says Mure, when a criminal case called him to Florida. "I missed Christmas with Christina, who was 1 at the time, and my wife, Maritza, by going down to Florida. I got stuck down there for a couple of months. But I decided never to miss Christmas again, and I also decided to do a little good when we lit up Christmas the next time.

Talk about an understatement. In the years following that trip, Mure, now a father of three, has not only transformed his home into a veritable winter wonderland for his neighbors and the thousands that flock to his home each year, but has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local charities, most prominently the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Peninsula Hospital, where he helped establish its first children's diabetic center. Last year alone, Mure raised $95,000, and the year before, $100,000.

"We do it for the children," says Mure, 46, who hopes to raise another $100,000 this year. "Black, white, Catholic, Jewish -- we do it for the kids. And then we try to help a group of kids that need our help. Every single penny that we raise goes directly to the charities. Any expense at all either comes out of my pocket or we get things donated."

Indeed, Mure's Christmas spirit is as generous and bright as the decorations that adorn his Neponsit Avenue home, which caught the eye of the folks behind the HGTV cable network's "What's With That Decked Out Christmas House?" and will be featured at 9 p.m. Sunday.

But it's the day before, Saturday, Dec. 8, that perhaps is even more highly anticipated: the annual holiday Lighting of Little North Pole.

"Everything around me is just closed down. We erect a stage in the middle of the street," Mure says, adding that there will be a DJ playing Christmas, Hanukkah and patriotic songs, children's characters greeting people in the streets, bagpipe bands, a visit from actor Tony Sirico (Paulie Walnuts of "The Sopranos"), who this year has the honor of switching on the holiday light show, a "Nutcracker" performance and more. That's not including the hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, chicken nuggets, bagels, sandwiches, eggnog, hot chocolate, soda and water that will be distributed, all at no charge.

"And every single kid that shows up will sit on Santa's lap and get a toy," Mure promises. "If you really want to experience Christmas, you come to my house.

The potential danger for the spacecraft, amusement parks through radio and video to remind tourists, and specifically prohibit pregnant women use of the spacecraft. Amusement parks provide vomit bags to tourists, and last year put up such a warning: for security reasons, you must be healthy, no high blood pressure, heart, back and neck no patients. Remember this recreation projects may increase because of the campaign nausea and some other feeling unwell.

Space mission thus become the Disney World, led to the largest number of tourists hospitalized for the pleasure item.
