Question: Does Lindsay Lohan have any recollection at all of being in rehab? Seems like a misty memory. She's out there sipping champagne and stealing purses - at least that's what the tabs would have us believe.
If we're to believe half of the scoop that's swirling about her, well, she's not sitting at home reading books and drinking herbal tea. Busy girl, that one.
But she's not the only party girl in town. In fact, the she-stars seem to be having quite a field day . . .
Hey, there, party girl!
It's not bad enough that she's got Jane Fonda writing her letters about her bad behavior while filming "Georgia Rule."
No, Lindsay Lohan apparently was unmoved by this and is tossing a log on the fire that is her life in the limelight - no, wait, make that two logs. Yes, two. Forgot about that GQ partay she attended on Saturday night.
But first things first: La Lindsay says she loves, no hates, no loves the paparazzi. So anyways, she definitely has mixed feelings about them, but she sure wishes they'd at least give her a rest so that she can get down to business and get herself an Oscar. (Seems reasonable).
"I wouldn't ever want them to not take my picture," Lohan tells Nylon magazine. "I'd be worried. I'd be like, 'Do people not care about me?' "
Like, no! They, like, totally care about you!
She does go on: "I said the other day, 'I feel like they hound me more than they hound Madonna, and she's somebody I've always aspired to be like.' "
Uh, OK.
And on: "The thing about the press and why they need to leave me the (gosh darn) alone for a little bit is because I don't want that distraction from my work," she says in the interview. "I want to get a nomination. I want to win an Oscar. I want to be known for more than, like, going out. For being the 'party girl.' I hate that. I bust my (body part) when I'm filming, and when I have time off, yeah, I like to go out and dance."
Yeah is right. She went out dancing and then some, according to gossip columnist Perez Hilton.
Lohan reportedly turned up at the GQ bash, held Saturday night at Frank Sinatra's former manse, where she linked up with singer Amy Winehouse. Together, they call themselves Team Evil, according to the report.
So anyways, these evil-doers joined forces and had a little fun at the expense of Kelly Osbourne (bad idea).
Osbourne lost her handbag and believes the evil twins took it. "Kelly is so upset and angry," one of her pals told the gossip columnist. "We're all almost certain that Lindsay stole the purse or threw it in a garbage bin. She thinks doing (stuff) like that is funny."
Lohan fueled the fire by reportedly telling people, "You should watch out. We call ourselves Team Evil. We like to go around causing trouble."
OK, we've been warned.
Lohan, who has been spotted out at clubs drinking shots and such, also laments the lonely life in the City of Angels.
"It's hard in L.A. not to go out," she says (or in her case, nearly impossible not to go out). "It gets lonely. Being an actress is lonely, and I never want to be alone. I hate sleeping alone."
Yeah, boo hoo.
Lots going on here, Lindsay: Love-hate-love relationship with the snappers; wants Oscar; compares self to Madonna; think of self as member of Team Evil; hates to sleep alone. Could make one heck of a singles ad.
Seven-year snitch
We surely need a distraction after the Lohan-go-round. Let's poke our noses in on the home of Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, shall we?
Both are hard at work these days - and not just on stage and screen. It seems that rumors of trouble in the house of Douglas-Zeta-Jones just won't let up.
The golden couple turned up for the Michael Douglas and Friends Celebrity Golf Tournament last weekend and presented a united front - despite rumored antsiness by both parties after seven years of marriage. Zeta-Jones was recently observed holding hands with "No Reservations" co-star Aaron Eckhart.
The Daily Mail recently observed: "They can barely stand being together. Whenever they're in the same room, it usually turns into a blazing row. It's a very combustible situation."
Zeta-Jones did her best to derail rumors of strife and potential jealousies over leading men: "Are you kidding me? If he's jealous of Aaron, think of BradPitt,George Clooney, Antonio Banderas, Sean Connery. My God, I've had the best run of leading men in my life!"
Uhh, it's Aaron? We're on a first-name basis, are we? Errr, yeah, we're pretty sure hubby should feel better (shouldn't he?).
No place like Holmes
We close with a similar tale of possible marital mischief from sweet Katie Holmes. It may or may not be true, but it sure is interesting: Word has it that she may have been bitten by the same "I like my co-star" bug.
Observant eyes on the set of her new flick, "Mad Money," say she is flirting (yes, flirting) with co-star Adam Rothenberg, according to Life Style magazine.
We have this dispatch from the set: "They shot a scene in which Adam wrapped his arms around Katie's waist, then the two of them had an intimate discussion. They lingered after the director said 'cut,' and it got everyone talking," the mole on the set tells Life Style.
A spokesman for hubby Tom Cruise puts the brakes on all this, issuing a statement saying that he is "very confident in his relationship with Katie, and supportive of her time working on the set."
Yeah, yeah. Say, maybe it's time for a round of golf with Michael. Chat, hit some balls. Compare prenups . . .
