Rayner Garner is one of the premiere thinkers of the early 21st century. He has dedicated himself to evaluating and finding the ways to improve the human condition for more than 50 years. The inventor of the baby sling (Hawaii, early 1980's) he is also a leader in attempting to make childbirth more natural and less traumatic in the western world. Some of his theories in this regard unknowingly echoed some of those of Bruce Chatwin in "Songlines."
However, as is detailed in his website www.intuit.org.uk, Rayner Garner's biggest contribution to humankind might be his disovery of the therapeutic technique that he has called "De-Identification." De-Identification is a method by which a person can help him/herself or another to eliminate the false imprints which they have taken on; it is a tool to get rid of the aspects of others that a person has grabbed on to while very young or while under chronic pain or stress. The results he has had with this technique are nothing short of amazing.
Another key element to his "program" to help people is to give each person an effective method in which to attune to his/her Intuition. Rayner has lamented, "Many people pray, but few listen to the answer." Rayner's method does not involve prayer, but for those who have tried it life has become much better, more full, much more satisfying. After a person has found his/her Intuition and been De-Identified, then the person finds their Destiny. He says that this is the thing that a person is here to do, and that no person is truly at ease on this planet until he/ she finds it.
There are many other aspects to Rayner's teachings. However, his sensual teachings, ones which turn can turn anyone, male, female, straight, gay, young, or old, into a highly pleasing lover who shares the highest bliss with his her partner (these are at www.getorgasmic.com, the separate website being needed for obvious reasons) do not come under the regular "Self Help" category, so will be left to another article.
