Basic Concepts to Gain Weight
I would like to say from my experience that there is a basic Principle of Nutrition that is universally true. In its most simplified form, the basic equation of Health can be written as Health = Nutrition + Calories. There is no dearth of information about health and nutrition. In fact it’s this abundance of literature that often perplexes one that how healthy could good nutrition make people be, and how much deviation from ideal nutrition could we allow ourselves.

Maximizing One's Health with Nutritional Supplements
In this day and age, most of us find ourselves failing to take in the recommended daily amount of nutrients that we should be getting. Nutritional supplements help to fill this gap by providing the vitamins, minerals, and other substances that we may be missing out on. In addition, personal food preferences, lifestyle habits, or special health needs may prompt a person to take nutritional supplements in order to remain in the pink of health.
483:
The Need For Supplementation
Mega dosages of individual vitamins are not necessarily beneficial to us. In fact, some studies have shown that certain fat soluble vitamins should not be taken in extremely high quantities. This makes complete sense to me. Think of supplementation as simply providing the nutrients that should be in your well balanced diet.
484:
The Thyroid-Metabolism Connection
Hypothyroidism occurs when the thyroid does not release adequate amounts of the hormones T3 and T4. When this happens the metabolism slows, causing fatigue, weakness and rapid weight gain. For people trying to loose weight an under-active thyroid can make attaining any sort of weight loss nearly impossible.

Benefits Of Taking Prenatal Vitamins
Calcium is one of the most important elements in an expectant moms diet as it is essential for the developing bone growth of the unborn child. However, prenatal vitamins do not always contain enough calcium while others do not contain any at all. The ones that do have it only contain around 250 mg whilst the recommended intake while pregnant is 1200 to 1500 milligrams.

The primary concern for the vegetarian athlete is obtaining adequate energy. However, this should be a no-brainer, for energy sources for vegetarian athletes, the best (and arguably the healthiest choice) option will simply be one's favorite sweet fruits. Rinse the neck and shoulders each morning in cold water. If you can, immerse the whole body in a bath of cold water in the morning.
488:
An Apple A Day
A good friend of mine once said "You can eat your way to health". the viewpoint being that, whatever ailment you have, mother nature has provided us with the right food to cure the ailment. Sometimes a little tweaking is involved, such as creating vinegars for stomach ailments or distilling essential oils from various plants to create more potent products.
489:
Sneaky Nutrition
Pizza is a great way to squeeze in nutrition. Sure, kids will pick off the toppings they don’t like, but there is a way around that. Hide them under the cheese! When you’re spreading the tomato sauce on, add finely diced vegetables or whatever you want your kids to eat. Top with cheese and their favourite toppings and watch them eat their veggies!

If you do obtain your supplements from such places, you can be sure you are getting the amount of rutin you paid for. Both private and government parties have shown that many nutritional supplements on the health market do not contain the actual ingredients listed, or worse, can harbor harmful contaminants.
