Remember that all knowing voice reminding you to always eat a good breakfast. Yeah, you know the one I’m talking about. Mom’s voice. Well guess what? Like most other things, she was right. Getting a healthy start with a good breakfast can be one of the most important decisions of your day. In fact, as knowledge continues to grow some surprising benefits have sprung up around the idea of eating breakfast.
First and foremost, eating a healthy breakfast provides you the fuel to start your day. Making sure your breakfast consists of proteins or simple carbohydrates also ensures that you don’t get hunger pains a few hours later or begin to feel tired. Also, much of your personality for the day is created by how energized you feel in your mornings. Having a good breakfast give you the energy you need to keep going through the day and give you that extra pep if your step to make the rest of the day just feel a little more sunny.
Another great reason for eating a healthy breakfast is weight loss. Many people skip their breakfast, saying that they’re just skipping a few extra calories. However, by skipping breakfast they don’t get the energy they need to make it through the day. This leads to snacking or a large meal at the end of the day to replenish lost energy. So in the long run this “skipping” of extra calories is exactly the opposite.
Those are just a few reasons for eating a healthy breakfast. Just like Mom always said, “The most important meal of the day is the one you start with.” So make it count and grab a bite to eat before you rush out to your job or class. It’ll make you feel better, and make your day go a lot smoother.
