His family was rushed to Pittsburgh late Monday morning for such a transplant, but the organs never arrived because they were held up in another state, a family member said.
Logan has been kept alive by total parenteral nutrition, fed to his body through an IV. With a transplant, Logan's grandmother, Karen Martin, said Logan would be able to eat normally and function without the tubes and bags currently connected to his body.
For now, Logan and his family will continue to wait for a transplant.
