CHARITY: RE/MAX have joined the Marie Keating Foundation in launching a 10K Walk for Life in order to help raise funds to maintain three Mobile Cancer Information Units which are in operation since May 2001. This event will be replicated in all areas where there is a RE/MAX branch. The organisers are urging people to get involved.

WALK: As part of Heritage Week, the Raheny Heritage Society is organising a walk on Sunday, August 26, around the historical sites of Raheny Village including a visit to the old graveyard. Glin Road. It will target sixth class pupils making the transition to second level education. The event, open to these young people and their families, will include bouncing castles, superslides, bungee runs, art and crafts, barbecue, DJ and exciting prizes. PEAKS CHALLENGE: Focus Ireland's Four Peaks Challenge is taking place this June. The challenge involves climbing the highest mountain in each province in Ireland for charity. Carrauntoohil, Mweelrea, Slieve Donard Lugnaquilla will be climbed in just three days with around 450 people will be taking part.
