Many people are interested in hypnosis as a therapy, but turns away when they see the price a hypnotherapist charge. Some of the more simple issues can easily be dealt with using this self hypnosis technique.

Self hypnosis or Autosuggestion is a process where an individual trains the subconscious mind to believe something for a given purpose. You could say it's like a self induced brainwash. Never practise self hypnosis after eating, it can cause you to lose focus. Here is the self hypnosis technique, step by step.

1. You have to find a comfortable spot and a position that you can maintain for the time you are going to be doing this. You can be sitting or lying down, but don't lay down if you feel like you can fall asleep. Breath slowly and relax, try to empty you mind (think of a totally white background).

2. Notice the tension you feel in your toes, imagine that it's a specific color or shape. Then vision it lifting away from your body. Relax each part individually. Start with your feet, thighs, hips and so on. Keep using this technique until you have relaxed your whole body.

3. Start taking slow deep breaths. When you exhale, imagine the tension leave you and when you inhale the energy fill you.

4. You will now feel very relaxed and the self hypnosis technique is starting to work. Count down from 10 to 1 and picture every number in your mind. After each number you will drift further and further into you subconscious mind.

5. You are now in deep self hypnotised state. You should start to address the issues you are concerned about. Start speaking to yourself, but don't use negative thoughts. Instead try finding positive ways saying it like I'm happy with myself. You can repeat the statements as many times you like with this self hypnosis technique.

6. When you have had enough, tell yourself to count upwards from 1 to 10. You will slowly get back to normal consciousness.

7. Once you are "back" give it a few moments before you open your eyes and take some time before you get up.

This self hypnosis technique will not always accomplish exactly what you want, but regular practise will yield better and better results.
