President Bush and Crocs thumb their noses at media polls approval

I think Crocs Inc. (NASDAQ: CROX) wants you to consider the deeper story behind George W. Bush being photographed wearing Crocs beach shoes. Does he think they're stylish? I don't suppose he gives much thought to style. Does he find them comfortable? If he was after strict comfort, a cross trainer from Nike Inc. (NYSE: NKE) would do a better job on pavement. Is he giving a friendly endorsement opportunity to his buddy Rick Sharp? That's probably the gist of it, but wait, there's more. Think just a little bit deeper to the true message that was sent by President Bush wearing those shoes.
The Crooks and Liars blog reports that President Bush's approval rating is at 29%, its lowest point ever. I don't put much stock in polls, I never did, and I never will. The reason being that no matter how unbiased a polling organization claims to be, poll numbers can be very easily manipulated. Even something as simple as the time of day that opinions are solicited can seriously change outcomes, but that's not what I want to bring to you.
The matter is simply this: If President Bush was as widely disliked as the left-wing, mainstream media would like you to believe he is, do you really think that Rick Sharp would have put those shoes on him? The wearing of Crocs by George W. Bush was as much an endorsement of that man by a hip and young company as it was an endorsement of those shoes. The leftist spin-meisters can tell you all they want about how the nation hates Bush, but the fact of the matter is this: A flourishing retailer doesn't generally present its product with the use of disliked individuals.
You didn't see Crocs on the feet of Jack Kevorkian as he left prison, did you?

Number one, I don't think Nike cross-trainers are that comfortable - I personally use my Crocs to walk 5-6 miles a day and so does my walking partner - we belong to different political parties by the way. Get off the political bandwagon - if anyone should be prosecuted why isn't Clinton in jail - hell, he was impeached - remember? People, they are all politicians regardless of the party - do you think any of them really care about the average person? No way. They didn't get to where they are by being "nice".

Does Crooks and Liars count as "left-wing, mainstream media" trying to get America to hate President Bush with the bandwagon approach? The left-wing, mainstream media (which you couldn't argue even existed till last year) isn't trying to get you to believe that everyone hates GW, anymore then they were trying to get you to believe that everyone loved GW a few years prior.

LOL, first, CROCs are quite comfy, ask doctors and nurses in the hospital ranks (known for long stretches of "on the feet" duty) THey swear by them for comfort and add to their stamina!! Next up, that snark towards "leftis/liberal/mass media"...LOL, GET REAL as the majority of media held by approx. 5 corporates who are DECIDEDLY NOT LIBERAL..that MYTH still rolls around but if any BOTHERED to check out who owns what and note the slants, well, tis been a good run of it for the ceoCONS, Bushlerites, righties who get THEIR messages pumped 'N humped with little true progressive , liberal or UNBIASED approaches. Yadda, Yadda, realize that notion of liberal media sells to the diehard righty rankers, but those with half a brain have realized it elsewise for sometime and thensome as all others have taken the backseat to the "right" presentations/spinnings in most ALL matterings!!!
As for Georgie boy and the wearing of Crocs, lol, like he cares what pollings on the wearing of such or ANY other matter say ?That arrogant SOB cares not a whit and that too is realized, he is but biding time til can vacate permanently to Crawford other than to rake in big bucks in HIS speechathons which, perhaps folks will pay to NOT have him speak and give ALL a break for most usually a painful experience with his misuse of the linguistcals !!!

Rather agree with Boz, and easy to note lots of "half-brained/if that" fools still rushing around to YET bak Georgieboy who has failed to do anything much but make America LESS safe than ever befor.WIth all that has been revealed, with all the bumbles,bungles and blunders by the Bush Brigade, hard to comprehend how ANY would yet yodel support for such an egregious abberation !!!

Now look everyone...I hate politics, I love my country, USA! Why mix politics with Croxs? What does one thing have to do with the other? Let's face it...Mr Bush is wearing them because THEY ARE COMFORTABLE PERIOD! I happen to LOVE THEM! I had an accident a couple of years ago and spent an arm and a leg to find shoes that would not hurt my crushed heel and ankle. One day I went to the hospital for a check up and visited the gift shop and low and behold there was the ugliest pair of Crocs I had ever seen. To be hosest, I had never even heard of Crocs. A worker from the hospital asked if they had them in his size and to my surprize , he was genuanly disapointed that they didn't. I picked the ugly things up and tried them on just to see the hype...and to my surprize they were comfortable on the heel and ankle. Needles to say ... this was in April 2007 and I have been wearing them ever since... I have not found anything better to wear anyplace! I'm in heaven! And I can walk without pain. So, don't knock something that works for many of us ... I hate to see a good item and business company go down just because YOU ARE TRYING TO MAKE A MOUNTAIN OUT OF A MO HILL WITH NOTHING THAT HAS TO DO WITH POLITICS PERIOD! SO, HE HAPPENS TO KNOW HIM, WHAT?!!!, YOU WOULDN'T USE A PRODUCT THAT MAKES YOU COMFORTABLE THAT IS MADE BY YOUR FRIEND? Come on, be honest, who gives a hoot as to what the president wears? ... how come nobody mentions what kind of suit or shirt or tie or underwear he uses? BECARUSE NOBODY GIVES A DARN HOOT ABOUT IT!!!
