Tony - I think France s strong buildup and their strength and depth will see them top their group. It may be true that few of their players would walk into an AB XV (I wouldn t say same of other tri-nations side, though). The French saw in November that the ABs were physically on another planet, to quote a more complimentary Bernard Laporte at the time. I am sure they will have lifted their physical condition like all the top sides but I doubt too many well-informed French pundits really expect France to topple the ABs.
Agree with William, the taunts about the French streets being full of doggy poo are a bit tired and outdated - there s plenty more to make fun of the French about. Paris is a much cleaner city than London, and the carnage left behind on the Strip any Friday or Saturday night makes stepping in a warm turd seem pleasant by comparison. Would rate the French as the most likely of the 6 nations teams to do any good, but at the end of the day, yeah, they re not likely to be able to go all the way.
There are pooper scoopers here! They work all over central Paris several times a day.
