Crossflo and EC-One Form Alliance to Provide Hosted Applications
SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Crossflo Systems, Inc., an innovative provider of data-sharing solutions for the public sector, today announced that Japanese-based EC-One, Inc., the leading enterprise Java integrator in Japan, has chosen Crossflo to enable secure and highly efficient data sharing within a wireless, hosted environment in Japan. The opportunity represents a major expansion of Crossflo products and services into global markets and a strategic milestone for expansion into commercial applications.
In order to meet the explosive demand for groundbreaking consumer and business services that rely on state-of-the-art wireless data-sharing solutions, we are forming a separate subsidiary to rapidly exploit the combined power of Crossflo DataExchange and a newly developed EC-One service called Grain, said Mr. Eihiro Saishu, EC-One s president and chief executive officer. Grain allows mobile phone service companies to use various applications with a per-transaction based fee structure. When combined with Crossflo DataExchange, it becomes a true data-sharing solution for customers. We believe that escalating real-world market needs will provide significant opportunities to expand our relationship with Crossflo into additional geographic markets in Asia and diverse applications.
Under the terms of the agreement, EC-One s new subsidiary will use Crossflo s flagship product, Crossflo DataExchange (CDX) to help provide fully integrated and accessible data to a variety of users including service providers and web-based business services for broadband wireless service carriers. The new system will enable data-sharing solutions for numerous market sectors such as retail, real estate, banking and health care, giving EC-One customers the ability to securely share industry and consumer relevant information via a user-friendly web-hosted solution.
The Japanese market and, in particular, EC-One are highly esteemed in their ability to provide cutting-edge software products and services, said Mr. Renney Senn, Crossflo s president and chief executive officer. We can help enhance their market-leading Java-based solutions with CDX s data-sharing capabilities, and have already begun working with them on a variety of major hosting project opportunities to provide wireless, enterprise data-sharing solutions for EC-One s clients.
